How to Use the EvolveYou App: Workout Planner, Programs, Meal Plans & More!

Whether you’re new to the app or have been part of the familia for some time, we want you feeling confident and comfortable using the app, so that nothing gets in the way of you and your progress. Let’s go!

Choosing the right program  

At EvolveYou we pride ourselves on being accessible for all abilities, however we understand that it can feel a little confusing knowing which program and trainer is right for you. If you’ve just downloaded the app, simply swipe across each trainer and their programs reading the description to get a better understanding of their style. There’s also a video preview from each of our trainers outlining what to expect! Similarly, if you want to change or explore other programs and/or trainers, select Workouts in your dashboard, scroll down to Trainers and Programs, click a trainer and swipe across to change your program.

We know that consistency is key, that’s why on every program description, we’ve outlined how many sessions, the length of the program, what equipment you need and how long a session is, to help you choose what’s right for you. You can also select from a range of levels, sis, we really meant it when we said there was something for everyone!

Your workout planner

Once you’ve chosen your trainer and your program and you’re ready to go all in, we’re here to make it easy for you to stay consistent with your progress using  your Workout Planner! Your Workout Planner is there to help you structure your week and your workouts, as once you’ve chosen a program it will automatically plan your workouts for each day of the week (including your rest days), so all you have to do is show up! You’ll find your Planner located at the top of your Dashboard tab, named ‘Weekly Planner’. You can also track your progress for every workout, by adding the weights that you’ve used! To do this select the dumbbell icon and enter the load you lifted for every exercise. This is a great way to keep motivated and to see just how far you’ve come.

On the days that you feel like adding an extra workout to complement your current guide, or you just fancy doing something different, you can also choose from a variety of non-program workouts and add it into your planner by simply clicking ‘+’.

What happens if I want to pause my program?

We want to make this journey as easy and enjoyable for you as possible. That's why you’re able to pause your program at any time you like. If you’re wanting to jump onto a challenge, (which you’ll find in the workouts tab under Challenges), you can pause your current program, while you complete your chosen challenge. And sis, we’ve got you, when you go back to your program all your progress will have been saved, so you can start right back where you left off.

We get it, life happens and sometimes you’ll miss a workout or even a week of them. No stress, we’ve made it so that you can schedule your missed workouts to the day or week that you’re ready to continue. Not only that but you can move any workout to any start date you like, by holding down the selected workout and then choosing your preferred start date. You can also restart your program at any time too! You can do this by selecting your current program, clicking on the 3 dots, which will then give you the option to ‘Restart or Change’.

Understanding your workout tab

At EvolveYou we want to meet you wherever you’re at to help you find a schedule that suits you. We realise that programs might not be suitable for everyone, that’s why we have created 1000s of different workout styles to make fitness work for you! Whether you want shorter workouts, target workouts, mobility workouts or even want to work out alongside your favourite trainer, we’ve got it! All you need to do is click on your ‘Workouts’ tab and use the filter at the top.

If you’re unsure of what to pick you can also browse through your Workouts tab, and see if anything catches your eye. Check out what’s Hot This Week, or any Challenges or Target workouts that appeal to you. At EvolveYou our aim is to inspire, motivate and guide you towards reaching your full potential, that’s why we’ve created something for every woman, no matter their starting point or ability.

Your nutrition tab

To fuel your workouts we have created 1000s of yummy and nourishing meals to not only satisfy your taste buds, but help you reach your goals. Whether you want to follow a plan, are on the hunt for a post workout snack or want some inspiration for individual meals, we have you covered!

An individual meal plan to suit you

When you first download the app, we’ll ask you a few questions so that we can get to know you, your lifestyle and goals to generate a meal plan so that you can reach your full potential and to help you feel your best. To have a look at what we’ve suggested go to your Nutrition tab, select ‘Meal Plan’ and there you’ll find your suggested calorie range. This really is recommended as at EvolveYou we understand that every woman has different requirements. If you feel like this is too little then please feel free to add in another yummy meal or snack from our recipe book, by selecting Recipes and browsing through all our tasty meals. If you’re happy with the calorie range we have selected, click the ‘Do it for me!’ button at the bottom right of the page, we will then generate your meals and daily plan for you, we’ll even create your shopping list! We really want to make this as hassle and stress free as possible for you!

Your goals, your recipes

At EvolveYou we have 1000s of recipes to suit you and your needs. What’s more is that all our recipes are split into categories to make it easier for you to browse and find what you’re looking for. Of course we have the usual meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner, but we even have post-workout goodies or yummy desserts and treats, to cover every occasion!

Consistency is key to getting results and we know that if you enjoy something you’re more likely to stick at it. That’s why we’ve created the ‘Favourites’ icon, so you can heart your favourite recipes and store them for later. To do this click on ‘Recipes’ then ‘My Recipes’ then select ‘Create Your Own Recipe’.

A strong community is at the heart of what we do. Our community forum is a special place where you can share your experiences, support each other, and be motivated when you need it most. That’s why in our app you’ll find a space to reach out with any question you might have and connect with like minded women. All you need to do is click on the Community tab, and we’ll be here for you every step of the way.
