All About Saman: EvolveYou’s New Trainer

Welcome to the EvolveYou familia Saman! Our group of trainers are evolving and we couldn’t be more excited to present Saman Munir to you.

Who is Saman?

Canadian based trainer Saman began her fitness journey in 2017 at the age of 37 after the birth of her third child. Saman quickly grew to love fitness and all the benefits that it brought her mentally, emotionally and physically. It was this positive transformation, particularly in her mindset that made her want to pursue a career in fitness to inspire and help others to become the best version of themselves.

Saman’s why

Saman’s biggest source of motivation is her kids, as she says they are her drivers to work hard and stay healthy. She aims to inspire them as she defies “what most media portrays of a modern muslim woman” and shows them how empowering it is to not only be a muslim, hijabi woman, but how fitness can make you feel strong, more confident and determined. When it comes to her clients and community, Saman's goal is to show how fitness can truly be accessible to all women. No matter your religion, lifestyle, ability, she believes that even the busiest parent can fit a workout program into their lifestyle, if they are given the right plan.

What will Saman bring to the app?

Saman’s mission is to bring fitness to all women, whatever their starting point. Her ethos with her workouts is to bring accessibility and inclusivity, motivating everyone to reach their full potential and feel their best. That’s why Saman created her program Focus, our first ever dedicated HIIT program designed to be enjoyed by anyone, anywhere. This exciting program has been developed by Saman to ensure that getting fit and staying consistent is accessible to any woman. So whether you’re a busy mum, a struggling student or finding it hard to stick to a schedule, this program promises results in a way that slots into your lifestyle in a fun and enjoyable way.  When it comes to creating her workout routine, Saman is a firm believer that simplicity is best, “people often think that the most complicated or “difficult” routines are the most effective and I’m here to prove that’s just not true”.

What style of training does Saman bring?

Saman’s focus is making every woman functionally strong and fit, so that they can carry out everyday tasks in life with ease. This might be lifting up their children, or walking up the stairs, for others it might look like flipping tyres or climbing mountains. When creating a program she always bears the individual in mind to ensure that every woman can benefit from living a more active lifestyle. She loves the flexibility and freedom to work out in and outside the gym, and when she isn’t strength or HIIT training you can find Saman boxing and going to Muay Thai. For her, this style of training truly challenges her, as she says that every bit of ‘willpower is needed just to get through the 1 hour session”, but when she finishes the physical, emotional and mental rewards are endless.
